Naa-alala mo ba?
Posted On 11/18/2008 12:10:49
Si Nanay ay  nasa bahay pag-uwi namin galing sa paaralan;

   lang;

10 sentimos o diyes lang ang baon: singko sa umaga, singko sa hapon;

Merong free ang mga patpat ng ice drop: buko man o munggo;

Pakikinig ng drama sa radio, tulad ng Simatar, Kapitan Radam, mga liham kay tiya Delly... at sa gabi naman ang Gabi ng Lagim;

Tinatakpan ang iyong tenga kapag naririnig mo ang alulong ng aso?;

   ... Naa-alala mo pa ba?    Mataas ang paggalang sa mga guro at ang tawag sa kanila ay Maestro;

Di binibili ang tubig, at pwedeng maki-inom sa di mo kakilala;

'sketeng' (scooter) na bearing na maingay ang mga gulong at de-sinkong pako para sa preno;  patining na pinitpit na tansan lang na may 2 butas sa gitna para suotan ng sinulid (pwede pang makipag-lagutan) ;
  Sumpak, pilatok, boca-boca, borador, atbp.

Maraming usong laro at maraming kasali:
  laste, gagamba, turumpo, tatsing ng lata, pera namin ay kaha ng Philip Morris, Malboro, Champion (kahon-kahon yon!);

May dagta ang dulo ng tinting na hawak mo para makahuli tutubi, nandadakma ka ng palakang tetot, pero ingat ka sa palakang saging dahil sa   kulugo;

Butas na ang sakong ng Spartan mong tsinelas - suot mo pa rin;

maraming addict at masasamang loob...

Tinutukoy ko ang harang taga o tumbang preso kapag maliwanag ang   buwan;

Ang pagtatakip mo ng mata pero nakasilip sa pagitan ng mga daliri pag nanonood ka ng nakakatakot sa 'Mga Aninong Gumagalaw';

Unahan tayong sumagot sa Multiplication Table na kabisado natin, kasi  wala namang calculator;

Pag-akyat natin sa mga puno;   Pagkakabit ng kulambo, lundagan sa kama ;

dikin naman ang ulo ng babae;

Inaasbaran ng mga suberbiyo;

Nginig na tayo pag lumabas na ang yantok-mindoro o buntot-page;

...Pamimili ng bato sa bigas;

Tinda-tindahan na puro dahon naman;

Bahay-bahayan na puro kahon;

Karera sa takbuhan hanggang maubos ang hininga;

Pagtawa hanggang sumakit ang tiyan;

Meron pa bang himbabao, kulitis at pongapong?

Estigo santo kapag nagmamano.
  Mapagod sa kakalaro, minsan mapalo;

Matakot sa 'berdugo' at sa 'kapre';

Yung crush mo?

Pag recess: mamimili ka sa garapon ng tinapay -alembong, taeng-kabayo o biscocho? Pwede ring ang sukli ay kending Vicks (meron pang libreng singsing) o kaya nougat o karamel;

Kung gusto mo naman - pakumbo o kaya kariba, mas masaya kung inuyat;

siling labuyo;

Halo-halo: yelo, asukal at gatas lang ang sahog;

Sakang ang lakad mo at nakasaya ka kasi bagong tuli ka;

O naghahanap ka ng chalk kasi tinagusan ang palda mo sa eskwelahan;

Lipstick mo ay papel de hapon;

Labaha ang gamit para sa white-side-wall na gupit;

Naglululon ka ng banig pagkagising;

Matigas na almirol ang mga punda at kumot;

May mga program kapag Lunes sa paaralan;

Masaya noon at

  Awit muna: 'Penpen de Serapen, de kutsilyo, de almasen.
How, how the
carabao batuten...'

Presidente ng klase ay ang pinakamagaling, hindi ang pinaka-mayaman;

Masaya na tayo basta sama-sama kahit hati-hati sa kokonti;

Nauubos ang oras natin sa pagku-kwentuhan, may oras tayo sa isat-isa;

pitik-bulag o matagal ka ng taya sa holen;

tinatawag natin pag napapa-trouble tayo;

  ...
MATANDA ka na! he he he...

  Believe it and you shall be blessed.

  The problem with many of us is that we don't believe
that God will open
a Window and
  pour out blessings that we won't have  room to receive
them. I

  Dare anyone to try God. He is true to His word. God cannot
lie and His
Promises are
  sure.

  My prayer for you today:

  The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the
hands that
will send this
  message to others shall not labour in vain, the mouth
saying Amen To
this prayer shall
  laugh forever. Remain in God's love as you send this
Prayer to
everybody y on y our
  list. Have a lovely journey of life! Trust in the Lord
with   all your
heart and He will
  never fail you because He is AWESOME!  If you truly need a
blessing,

  Heavenly Father, most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to
you that you
Abundantly bless
  my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a Family
is more than
just a mother,
  father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who
believe and
trust in you. Father,
  I send up a prayer request for blessings for not only the
person who
sent this to me,
  but for me and all that I have forwarded this message on
to. And that
the power of
  joined prayer by those who believe and   trust in you is
more powerful
than anything.. I
  thank you in advance for your   blessings. Father God,
deliver the
person reading this
  right now from debt and debt's burdens. Release your
Godly wisdom that
I may be a good
  steward over all that   You have given me Father, for I
know how
wonderful and mighty
  you are and how if we just obey you and walk In your word
and have the
faith  of a
  mustard seed that you will pour out blessings. I thank you
now Lord for
the recent
  blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to
come because I
know you are not
  done with me yet.

  In  Jesus' name, I pray. Amen

Touching story for hard working parents
Posted On 09/18/2008 13:17:19
  A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to
find his 5-year
old son waiting
  for him at the door.

  SON:   "Daddy, may I ask you a question?"

  DAD:   "Yeah sure, what it is?" replied the man.

  SON:   "Daddy, how much do you make an hour?"

  DAD:   "That's none of your business. Why do you
ask such a
thing?" the
man said
  angrily.

  SON:    "I just want to know.. Please tell me, how
much do you make an
hour?"
  DAD:    "If you must know, I make   $20.00 an
hour."

  SON:     "Oh," the little boy replied, with his
head down.

  SON:   "Daddy, may I please borrow   $10.00 ?"

  The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked
that is so you
can borrow some
  money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you
march
yourself straight to
  your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so
selfish. I
work hard everyday
  for such this childish behaviour."

  The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

  The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the
little boy's
questions. How
  dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

  After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down, and
started to
think: Maybe there
  was something he really needed to buy with that

    $10.00  and he really didn't ask for money very
often. The man went
to the door of the
  little boy's room and opened the door.

  "Are you asleep, son?" He asked.

  "No daddy, I'm awake," replied the boy.

  "I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you
earlier" said
the man.

  "It's been a long day and I took out my
aggravation on you.
Here's the
$10.00 you
  asked for."

  The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank
you daddy!" He
yelled.            &nb sp;

  Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some
crumpled up bills.
The man saw that
  the boy already had money, started to get angry again. The
little boy
slowly counted out
  his money, and then looked up at his father.

  "Why do you want more money if you already have
some?" the father
grumbled.            &nb sp;
  "Because I didn't have enough, but now I
do," the little boy
replied.

  "Daddy, I have  $20.00  now. Can I buy an hour of
your time?

  Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have
dinner with you."

  The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little
son, and he
begged for his
  forgiveness.

  It's just a short reminder to all of you working so
hard in life. We
should not let time
  slip through our fingers without having spent some time
with those who
really matter to
  us, those close to our hearts.

  Do remember to share that   $20.00  worth of your time
with someone you
love.
  If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for
could easily
replace us in a
  matter of days.

  But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the
loss for the
rest of their lives.

  And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work
than to our
family.

Tomorrow can be too late
Posted On 08/15/2008 09:39:30
If you're mad with someone, and nobody's there to fix the situation. You fix it, Maybe today, that person still wants to be your friend. And if you don't....tomorrow can be too late...

If you're in love with somebody, but that person doesn't know. Tell her/him. Maybe today, that person is also in love with you. And if you don't say it...tomorrow can be too late...

If you really want to kiss somebody, kiss her/him. Maybe that person wants a kiss from you too. And if you don't kiss her/him today...tomorrow can be too late...

If you still love a person that you think has forgatten you. Tell her/him. Maybe that person have always loved you. And if you don't tell her/him today...tomorrow can be too late...

If you need a hug of a friend, ask her/him for it. Maybe they need it more than you do. And if you don't ask for it today...tomorrow can be too late...

If you really have friends who you appreciate, tell them. Maybe they appreciate you as well. That if you don't and they leave or go far away today...tomorrow can be too late...

If you love your parents, and never had the chance to show them in awhile. Do it. Maybe you have them there to show them how you feel. That if you don't and they leave today....then tomorrow can be too late.....

Hello my blog is about my eldest son Michael who just joined the Navy, Me and my wife are kinda worried coz even he chose to joint the Navy he wanted to be a medic or corpsman as his assignment he wanted to joint the service since he turned 18 but we said no coz he wanted to enlist to the Marines or Army and you know they are the first line of defense at any war, So as any parents we did not want that for him, but he really wanted to so we told him ok if you wanted to enlist just enlist to the Navy at least we know he will be safer, but no he chose to be a medic and I talked to some of  the Navy personnel that being a medic is he might be with the Marines or Army even he does not carry any weapons but still he is in the frontline with them for support, scary for us huh? It will not be for at least a year but a year is faster than a month for scary parents like us. He is at booth camp at Chicago Great Lakes for 3 weeks now and his only complain is they only take showers once a day sometimes none and he takes showers at least 3 times a day and the shouting he said is louder than mine lol well at least he was trained lol again, but there is a plus the food is great that what he said but still craving for Filipino food or our cooking, booth camp he said is hard they train from 6am till 9pm just doing the same thing over and over again, the only time they get is every Sunday to write or call family but my Michael he hates writing he rather have a conversation than write, We miss him a lot people say that you won’t feel that if you always see him but if his not around that’s the time you will say, hey even sometimes you have an argument or sometimes he wanted to do what he wants when he was still around you’ll just think why did you just don’t let it be? Did I push him to enlist? Am I to strict?  Am I to protective? He is still my baby even his already 21 Hay Nako…..well at least I did my part he grew up respectful to elders to me to my wife he is still Filipino in mind and heart not Americanized he even kiss us in the cheeks every time he leaves or come home from work or school he is not shy to do that in front of his friends even they tease him his quote to his friends ‘that’s how I love and respect them” kakataba ng puso ano po…I’ll post his graduation pictures soon, he graduates this August  Until next blog

Prison vs. Work
Posted On 06/21/2008 21:28:08

Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed, up This should make things a little bit clearer.

1. Prison = You spend the majority of your time in a 10 x 10 cell
    Work  = You spend the moajority of your time in a 6 x 6 cubicle/office

2. Prison = You get three meals a day fully paid for
    Work  = You get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it

3. Prison = You get time off for good behavior
    Work  = You get more work for good behavior

4. Prison = The guards locks and unlocks all the doors for you
    Work  = You must often carry a security card and open all the doors for yourself

5. Prison = You can watch TV and play games
    Work  = You could get fired for watching TV and playing games

6. Prison = You get your own toilet
    Work  = You have to share the toilet with some people who pee on the seat

7. Prison = They allow your family and friends to visit
    Work  = You aren't even supposed to speak to your family

8. Prison = All expenses are paid by the taxpayers with no work required
    Work  = You get to pay all your expenses to go to work,and they deduct taxes from your salary to pay for prisoners

9. Prison = You spend most of your life inside bars wanting to get out
    Work  = You spend most of your time wanting to get out and go inside BARS Inuman na

10. Prison = You must deal with sadistic wardens
      Work  = They are called managers
