Calamba City, Extended Metropolitan Area
|
Today, I write a new blog. It is about the Extended Metropolitan Area of Calamba, Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa. I write about these places for they have become melting pot of cultures. Since the inception of industrial zones, many young transients decided to make these extended metro area their home. The area has welcomed people from the mountainous North down to the historic and freedom loving South. You can easily notice the boom and how it has made what used to be already progressive towns to more highly-industrialized areas. BPOs have decided to operate on these high-tech zones. Agricultural lands have been converted to industrial complexes And investors are pouring their money on investments making sure that their slice of the pie will be bigger, tastier, and better. Human and vehicular traffic has grown by leaps and bounds and big players will soon swoop down on its attracive territories as different developments such as South Forbes Golf City metamorphoses into dream communities, Eton City will develop its 1,000 hectare property and Ayala-Yulo will take the lead to impress investors with its 1, 500 hectare masterplanned development. The California boom of yesterday is duplicating itself through these high-development projects and what we need to do is to ride the crest of this boom. At the same time, it would be to the best interest of everybody if safety nets, in terms of environmental and human concerns are addressed. We need to befriend progress now else we find ourselves in history's dustbin. Now, where will all of this lead us to?
