ABOUT ME
I am a writer and researcher working on a third book, Bedtime-Pastime:Collection of Short Stories and Bukidnon Folktales. This is a co-authored book with Dr. Genoveva Melendez-Ablanque of Bukidnon State University.

My first book, KOILAWAN: Letters and Poems of a Jungle Dad-Mom, has been in the market since January. It is selling in 21 countries (recently opened outlet is in The Czech Republic). Too bad, it has no outlet yet in the Philippines. KOILAWAN was in the TOP 100 Bestsellers in Inspirational Books on Amazon.com, TOP 100 Bestsellers in Christian/Mission Books on Borders.com, and TOP 100 Most Requested in English Books on Amazon.de

Naku mali, nabura!  Pero, salamat naman at duating na ang KOILAWAN sa inyo, Akoy Pinoy.  Hwag ka na lang mag-alala sa shipping & handling.  Sa susunod na lang. hehehe. 

Currently, am checking the manuscript of PRAISING...:Haiku verses.  Publisher wanted it done very soon.  Illustrators are trying to come up with all the pictures.  If they won't have it done before the end of this month, the book won't be out in December, but definitely in February.  Am also pitching BEDTIME-PASTIME (Collections of Short Stories and Bukidnon Folktales) to some publishers.  Will be posting one of the short stories here on Great Pinoy this coming Wednesday.

 

Thanks for your plans to endorse the book to your friends and to write a review on Amazon site.

Salamat naman at ngayon may matutulogan na pagnawawala ako sa Cavite at Bicol. Joke lang, ano?   

Hoy Grayzia, napanood mo ba yong indie film na ang pamagat ay Cavite?  Storyline: Isang Pinoy na tubong San Diego. Pina-uwi sa Cavite.  Yon pala ay kinidnap ang kapatid and nanay nya ng Muslim extortionists.  Nong dumating sa Pinas, sa pamagitan ng cellphone, pina-ikot-ikot  sa Cavite (para lang maipakita yong maduming lugar).  Inis ako nong pinanood ko.  I really hoped that those indie makers should have given justice to the city.  Sure there are eye sores in Cavite, but there are lots of good ones.

 

Gerry, minsan nag-present ako ng research paper ko sa Bicol Univ.  Naku hindi ko na ma-ilarawan ang campus, pero yong pinaka-in sa amin na napaka-anghang na malaking isda at linuto sa gata ng niyog at dahon ng gabi.  Naku, da best!  20 yrs. na yon, pero hanggang ngayon, ay lasanglasa ko pa.  YUMMY!
